In Rudina Mountain

On Labour Day - May 1st, we had two consecutive hikes in the western mountainous part of the country. The first - in Rudina mountain, along the newly traced eco trail from the village of Sirishtnik to the top of Rudina mountain, peak Sirishtnishka Rudina (1172 m).

:: the village of Sirishtnik

:: St. Nikolay Letni chapel, first stop along the trail

:: the trail is well marked, with lots of benches, rest places, safety rails and wooden steps along the steep parts

:: the old stone quarry has been turned into a project - a stone mosaic to be filled by the tourists with stones from the quarry

:: the view from the observation tower near the peak. On a clear day tourists could observe nine mountains, among which Vitosha, Rila and Pirin

:: the beautiful Pchelina dam in the distance

:: the trail to the nearby Djamen hut

:: silly photos on top of the mountain :)

:: and back to the village of Sirishtnik. Total distance - 7 km, elevation - 500 m
